My work is inspired by the obsession we have with technology and social media, especially us teenagers. Following the theme, I interpreted "deception" as missing the bigger picture because we are drawn or focused to the wrong thing. In my artwork, the girl is on her phone, transfixed, capturing herself (in selfie mode) rather than the eye-catching environment.
