Our world takes so many different forms; air, fire, water, earth, so do people. Our thoughts and emotions change throughout different situations. People always rely on other people. In my painting, the girl represents humanity. Each of the elements have an emotion behind them. Air represents harmony, when a situation, good or bad, affects multiple people, we band together to support each other, seek comfort or celebrate. Fire represents strength, which we need to get through hardships or give to people who are mixed up in their own. Water represents emotions, we have positive and negative emotions but we all experience both on many occasions, sometimes emotions come like a trickle of water, other times they rush in like a flood. Finally, the earth represents stability; we all use family and friends to keep us grounded, especially during rough patches in our lives. This painting shows us that this girl has experienced all of these just as we all have before.
